    Hi all,

As I`ve mentioned on here before I had a Subaru RB5 to detail on fri and a Ferrari on Mon(yesterday).

I`ll post the RB5 detail first...

Its a good mate of mine`s car, previously owned by another mate who owns his own garage.

The condition of this car is superb... very tastefully modified and in fab condition for 111k!

The interior looks like its done 10-20k honestly!

Anyway the car was pressure washed to remove any grime out of shuts/trim etc..

The wheels where cleaned first with a 1:1 cut of wonderwheels and a soft bristle brush.
The bodywork followed with 2 bucket method and Simoniz wash and lambswool mit.

The car was rinsed with an open hosepipe to rinse and dried with a large waffle weave towel.

The whole car was clayed using a Sonus grey claybar and homemade lube..
The top half of the car....

    And the bottom half....

The residue was washed and dried off

The majority of the shuts were taped off, and polishing commenced using a PC and orange lake county pad and Menz IP 3.02.( I started off using less abrasive and worked up to this combo)

Small areas of around 1 sq foot, 1 pass the spread the polish at speed 3 and multiple passes at speed 5 until the polish goes clear.

The residue being easily buffed off using costco mf cloths.

Once all the panels where completed and buffed clean I applied Megs #7 glaze with a foam pad, one panel at a time, and wiping off immediately with a clean mf cloth

About a 1 pound coin amount would easily cover a panel on the car.

Then to finish off Megs #16 wax was applied to the car incuding the wheels.

Very thinly with a german applictor pad...

You can see the haze on the roof, and buff off each panel as its done... otherwise its like concrete to remove!

    The results

This combo works so well and really shows the flake off ..

The owner doesnt mind his reg being shown....

Anyway.. hope this is useful to you..

    Mark
