2 x Audi A6 Black Edition's 2013 ordered...!

The saloon is a standard Black Edition 2.0TDi 177 PS, and the Avant, because of my spine and the road quality in Sheffield, is an SE (Black edition would ruin whats left of my spine). 3.0TDi quattro, 7 speed auto with flappy paddles, black pack, black headlining, walnut inlays etc. I have added all of the upgrades the black edition would have had, except for the hard suspension and those gorgeous wheels - shame really but I really couldn't tolerate it. So it will look like a Black Edition apart from the smaller wheels and the ride height.

I have had a call from Audi today and should get mine by the end of next week, but not definate. We are now collecting the saloon on Wednesday.

Well the saloon is here and trundling around the area with a driver who can't stop grinning.



Mine will be here today - I must admit to complaining a bit about the delays though

Can't wait now - all excited. Woke up at 4.30am and couldn't get back top sleep for some unknown reason

My first post - Just ordered a 2.0TDI Multitronic black edition:-
Phantom black, tech pack, interior lighting pack, heated front seats, leather / Alcantara, folding mirrors and park assist.

Currently I'm in an A5 2ltr TFSI (well kind of in it at the moment!) also in Phantom Black. It's currently getting its engine rebuilt after the timing chain tensioner failed causing £4.4k's worth of damage. In the mean time I'm running around in an A6 S line 2.0 TDI in Havanna black. My A5 has a completely different feel to it but I have to say the A6 s line is a pleasure to drive.

Will miss the A5 but sure (and hope) the Black edition A6 will be a good replacement.

Anyone else gone from a 5 to a 6?

Just moved from a 2.0 A5 Sport TDi, can honestly say the A6 is completely different animal to the A5 and a much smoother more refined drive. The A6 Sline has far more kit and more luxurious feel not to mention all that practical space the TDi is slightly more powerful than the A5 but the delivery of he power with the multitronic is much better. I am delighted with the change as I'm sure you will be too!

Thanks for the quick response it's good to hear you were happy with the move from 5 to 6. My A50C forum had a few comments like "You will hate the set-up" or "its like a barge" but I've been driving in the A6 Sline for 3 weeks now and do like it. Think the multi-tronic will be better again. I like the feedback you have given re the A6 being more refined..........definately my experience so far.

Just paid the deposit on a 2.0 TDI Black Edition and hope my decision is the right one. Had an A6 before the A5 Cab, so have some experience of them, albeit the older version. Pick up the car next Thursday.

The C7 A6 is a vastly better car than the C6 version before it, not sure it is quite as well built but definitely a far better car.

May I enquire what sort of deal you managed to acheive on the quattro? I'm about to negotiate something similar at a dealer not million miles away............

This time of year as its coming up to year end for most dealers you should be looking to secure a deal with around a 20% discount. If you want to spec you motor up have a look at orangewheels.co.uk and you may be able to use this quote to encourage your dealer to find the right price for you!

Yeah, Orange Wheels aren't looking quite so good - 15.5% without finance, 21.3% with the deal. Drive the Deal is fluctuating a bit but deals are better - 20% and 23.6% respectively.

What I was really interested in is what Buster actually achieved at that dealer. I don't live far away and in the past have always driven an hour away to get a decent deal. I once went in to buy two cars, no trade-in and they wanted to stick to list price for them both. Pahh! Forewarned is forearmed.
