    Default 2002 Polo - any known problems? – 03-06-2008,08:46 PM
    Looking for some advice if possible?

    A friend is looking for a new car, yet is not really that clued up and has asked for my assistance in the new purchase. I have had VAG's since I passed my test and thought that a 6/7 year old Polo would be a decent bet.

    We've found a 2002 1.4 16v S which seems a nice car - are there any known problems with them? fans etc? Does anybody know when the cambelt should be changed etc?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Solid all rounder! The engines+ancillaries seem to be bullet proof if regulalrly cared for!
