I use comon and garden Black Shoe Polish from the market! works a treat and a fraction of the cost, if its good enough for your shoes in the wet, why not use it on your tyres lol Have done for years!!

Go to Halfords and buy a cheap can of silicone spray. Lasts 10x longer than tyre shine and better!

    I do as follows....

Visit Asda and buy one of their silicone sponges ( the ttpes as used on shoes ) for around £0.49p and then buy a spray bottle of Wet n Black from Halfords or similar at around £4.00

Once the vehicle is washed I simply impregnate the sponge with a few sprays from the bottle and apply to the tyres. Using this method has two benefits.

Firstly it lets you apply the tyre shine exactly where you want it and prevents overspray onto the rims ( overspray on the rims simply attracts and / all dirt n dust which is not what we want )
Secondly it minimizes waste and the bottle just last for such a long time.

    All good
