No shipping for my EU country
And something for sharing for halogen headlights...to keep both DRL bulbs on with low beam:

    Thanks to DavidB8 - Audizine

I was thinking Byte 14 bit 1 but it looks like that is already enabled on Halogen cars. On HID lights they aren't.

Now one other one I did find not listed in VCDS is "Daytime Running Lights with Front Side Lights Active" That is byte 3 Bit 6. There is no check box as they never added from my submission a few years back but could be worth a try.

The default value for that byte is B1 so try changing it to F1 and see if that keeps your light strip on all the time.

Now one more.... I have one other one in my custom label file not listed in VCDS. I have it labeled as "Daytime Running Lights via Left and Right Side Lights" same as above. So it could be that it's needed as well. It also is not listed in VCDS. It's Byte 2 bit 5.

My guess is one or both of those is the answer. I hope.

I got the parts from audi which you advised nick. They are waiting for me to pick up. Then i can fit the 6000k ebay drl bulbs. I also ordered a canbus error free 6000k hid kit. I thought i may aswell get it all done at once, if they do produce this retrofit replica front light with the real led drl which i was told will be out march or may. Then i will still need a hid kit anyway. As for vcds i don't. Think i will need to get any parts im fitting coded.

Did you also change your fogs to a hid kit or buy different bulbs?

Thanks for the help with the parts nick, very very helpful.
    costs:
    4 bulbs £8
    drill hole cutting bits £20
replacement covers for bulb housing £52
    6000k canbus HID kit £55

Heres an update. i manged to fit the DRLS yesterday and then i had to leave the HIDS until today, it was so cold the simplest of tasks became so hard. The 1 problem i had was drilling the second drl light bulb out as i sliced a lovely red cable. after a quick repair i took a different approach to the other light, drilled a hole and took pliers to the plastic, it easily snapped out alot faster. The hids went in today, i got 1 light out error, but after removing the HID ballast cable and replacing it, it seems to be fine, i will have to take the car out later to see how much better they are for night driving, i have had the same kits on my Clio 197 and Honda accord executive,

one thing to note about the DRL bulbs, when looking through the camera they appeared to flicker only in the camera but not when i looked with my eyes, so the bulbs look almost like some of them are out
