Hellooo, I have just purchased myself an a6 lemans edition. Unfortunately the previous owner has put on some terrible 20inch alloys that suck. I want to get back to the original RS4 style alloys. I know they are 19inch but thats as much as I can find. Could anyone give me the details of which size/width came on the a6 lemans as standard.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Out of curiosity what is "rubbish" about them. I have a set which were put on by the previous owner, they go round and keep the tyres on so I would like to know what to look out for?

Hey Timdave - Replicas generally, are thought to be rubbish in terms of quality & safety.

I've seen the 7 spoke RS4 style you're looking for in replica and some of the spokes were ever so slightly a different thickness ( kinda ok from a distance, but once you really looked you could see it )
From a safety perspective - they've been know to crack, buckle / warp etc

Do a search using google and you'll find loads of reviews on them, there's as many good as bad to be fair.

As with oil, brake pads / discs, and other copy parts etc you'll get differing opinions......All you can do is do your research, take all the information into account and then make your choice.

Good luck with whatever route you decide to go down

Perfect, thanks for the help! I am trying to find a good set now preferably new. £2700 from audi for a set of 4! Preferably looking for genuine ones. If anyone knows of any for sale please let me know!

Whats this about a certain offset and all that? I found a genuine set off an RS4 (19") but they had a different part number to the a6 lemans ones

    Thanks

Kevin - you may find that some wheels may have a different offset from what you have already and you need to know how this will affect your cars look + handling etc.
Yours may be 38 for example but you could look at a set with a 52 offset and you need to know what difference that will make!
It will either be 14mm further in or out, I forget which.......Please see this offset wheel calculator and that'll tell you all you need to know. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...KIhedvQx4m7EJw

The above came into play when I fitted my A6 alloys to my wifes Passat for example.....the offset just wasn't right, so I added hubcentric wheel spacers to take them right out to the wheel arches for a wide n mean aggressive look, really changed the car.
If this is the case though always, ALWAYS use Hubcentric wheel spacers and ALWAYS with longer bolts, and it'll be all good.

The other thing to watch for is the bore size believe it or not!!
For example yours, like mine is probably 57.1mm but I bought a set with 66.1mm iirc......These were off a A5 or Q7 I forget which and they have a bigger hub size.
This wasn't a major issue as I simply bought a set of spigot rings for around £10 job done, issue resolved.

You have a point toofunky, some have had reps and been happy with them andsome have had bad experiences, more so than with OEM
I agree with you and said basically, its your money your car your choice.

Kevin. You may also find that the same style wheels from a A6 (C6) allroad Special Edition would fit. Mine are ET43 offset, but are fitted with 245/40 19 tyres and I don't know how the offset or tyre size compares to the LeMans. Whilst they were removed when the original tyres were at 4mm, I'm planning to keep them for when I sell my allroad. I also have the same design wheels from my old B7 A4 which are ET42 and 18" but again I might fit these to my allroad depending on the buyers preference in the Spring.

Just trying to give you more options rather than selling some wheels I'm not ready to sell yet (and which might not be a close enough offset anyway).

JUST NOTICED THE DATE OF THE FIRST POST.
