central locking button doesnt lock one door

Hi I have a polo 9n3. Central locking works fine, but when your in the car and press the door lock button all doors lock except for the front passenger door. It will lock but then instantly unlock. Any idea why it would do this.

My 02 plate 1.2 is doing this too.
If i try to lock form inside the doors lock then unlock immediatley, i'm assuming it's the door lock micro switch that has failed.
Hope someone with more experience can confirm this.

I had a similar thing in a golf 4. The fix was to remove the lock mechanisim, re-solder solder points and re fit. Not sure if this is even possible in the polo's.

sounds like a faulty door latch
