Whats involved in changing the oil on one of these is the drain plug/filter easy to get to? any advice welcome.

the easiest and safest way to do it is look in yellow pages and find the number of your local vag dealer. then call them and book it in.

I have done a few but as said, either find a good specialist that will use GENUINE fluid or ring dealer for a price ! The sump is often dirty with mud like on the bottom and the magnets fitted at the base of the sump are kaked in metal filings. Also the strayner needs replacing as well...Expect a £200+ bill.
