    afternoon

    the radiator has sprung a leak on my girlfriends polo

    short of dismantling the whole of the front of the car, how do you remove the radiator?? got it unbolted, hoses off and electrical connectiions removed but what comes next............ grille off??

    Yes, Grill off and to get better access take off the trim (the bit between your bumper and headlamps) but to this you much take out your indicators to get at the bolts holding it in place.

    Be careful tho, it is very flimsy, so once you have taken one bolt from i.e the nearside, remove the bolt and put the trim back into place ready to take out the otherside, if you dont then the whole of the trims weight will be on the little lip that conects it to the body on the other side, not a good idea to shear that off.

    then

    there is a small metal bar from your bumper to the cross member, undo on bolt at the bottom (i think!) and then slide it up, i dont think it comes all the way out but you dont need it to, then just slide the radiator out
