A/C pressure/temp sensor location

I've just had no reaction from my A/C and the red LED on the button itself went out within a couple of seconds of pressing it. VCDS told me it was an intermittent fault on the A/C pressure/temp sensor.

Given that I've just given it a good wash prior to tomorrow's MOT - and paid special attention to the wheel arches of my allroad; could water ingress be the culprit. i.e. is that the location of the sensor?

To top it all, my warranty runs out in 2 days and the nearest dealer is 50 miles away (assuming they could diagnose and rectify in that timescale). Can anyone advise the approx parts price and job time. I need to weigh this up against my warranty excess...

Hi,

The pressure sensor is located on RHS of rad/evaporator when facing car from front. Fellow members have done this DIY, do a search of forum and you will find info, I would link threads but at mo on a fruit tech equipment and touch screen really isn't my my forte! + the combo of grape juice not help my human motor skills! LOL

I would check contacts on plug to sensor before replacing.
