Cam-belt - Service?

I have just had a service C/O by a VW dealer and they suggested replacing the cambelt, i had paid for the next three services when i purchased the car. does the cambelt no longer get changed as part of the service? Surely this should have been included? Its on about 45k.

Any help?

Cambelt is sadly not part of the routine service regime. As to when its needed, that depends on engine and will be listed in your handbook. Look to pay around the 4-500 pound mark.

I usually stick to 4 years or 60k whichever comes first .. Remember vw do fixed price servicing for cars including 2.0 and under.
