    Hi there, new to this forum, new Audi owner. Bought an Audi allroad, needed brakes bleeding. Bleed nipple sheered off, tried drilling, made a mess! Anyone suggest a good supplier or breaker in the Birmingham area where I can purchase a decent replacement. Best quote so far, £170+VAT with £50 surcharge(GSF). Lucas type calliper alloy. Any suggestion would be appreciated. :-)

    Hi. Send an e-mail to Andy Coggan at Motors in Motion (breakers in Birmingham I believe). andy coggan <motorsinmotion@hotmail.co.uk>

    Andy supplied a self-levelling sender for me and it came with a 3 month warranty. still going strong after 12 months.

    For future ref, spray first with WD40 and use a brake spanner or you will at best strip the nipple head! Brake fluid replacement should be done every 2 years so worth the investment!

    Just checked for you - they are in Nottingham and now have an e-Bay shop

    I just bought a nearside alloy HP2 four pad caliper from brakes international, it was an OEM TRW part for £205 all inc;

    Brake Parts for Cars

    Although I was tempted to go for a cast iron caliper at nearly half the price, I know the pistons etc are exactly the same so it would be down to unsprung weight.
