LPG system queries.

Has anyone of you guys had an experience of running an LPG system,what engine and mpg on gas using what system,how reliable is it.Also is there an LPG installers on here if so what sort of price for a 5cylinder turbo and what system?

Every car I have ever experienced with an aftermarket LPG kit has had problems and the engine bays have looked like someone has picked the parts up, thrown them into the engine bay and connected them up where they landed.

Probably not helpful in the slightest, but there was a fella on the Fiat Coupé Owners Club who'd had his 20v Turbo gassed and he loved it. He was running a few mods (FMIC, GT30RS, Gtech, etc) and it went quite well. I did go for a quick spin in it, but I didn't have a look under the bonnet.

I saw a cab fleet have it fitted,

misfires
poor economy, i.e half price fuel, half the mileage, back to sq1
goes bad at around 100k where it's simply not repairable without doing the lot


If this was a £300 mod I'd say do it, but it's normally £1500 - £2500 to fit, and that bloke who loves it probably fits it as well, here's the advise, buy a diesel that doesn't have (a) a dpf (b) high miles, i.e under 80k.
