I took my diesel CC for a full custom remap yesterday by Will at Performance Torque in the West Midlands, UK, and am very happy indeed with the results.

Torque has been limited so as not to be too aggressive on the DSG box and the car is totally standard other than the remap.

My main driver was the improved economy, smoother performance and a bit more power as a bonus. Well the car definitely has much more power as the graph shows, economy is settling down so will find out over the next 1000 miles if it's made a difference.

Dyno results are below. Great results for a dirty diesel!

Wow nice one! That is impressive. Did you consider getting a standard remap?

I suppose the temptation to boot it is there. Please let us know how you get on with economy.

Absolutely perfect - I think the milage of the car was just under 100k when I had the remap done and I've just hit 140k! The turbo was swapped with a new OEM one at 95k so had to let that bed in before this was done.

i had to have a new exhaust gas temp sensor as that failed but that's normal at the age of the car - VW got confused and swapped out a DPF sender too even though I gave them the correct part number but that's just them being useless.

I had the car in on Monday for a Milltek exhaust as the factory system cracked - again pretty normal for a six year old car as the factory system was mild steel and rusted until it separated from the back box. The Milltek system was cheaper than the dealer wanted for original parts and it's just as quiet - it does have a deeper tone though but nothing boy racer etc thank God. Milltek were local to me so figured I'd give them a go.

I would defintely recommend anyone anyone to use Will down at P Torque - that's 40k covered and still on the original DSG and DPF.

I need to to book in for the 140k service and that'll cost a bit as the DSG oil needs doing! Although saying that I can't remember if I had it done at 100 or 120 - will have to check the paperwork!

I was just looking for winter tyres and came across this thread so figured I'd update it.

I'm now on 161k with the remap - still on the turbo that was replaced at 95k and the original DSG.

It's due a service next week but there is oil leaking from somewhere. Fingers crossed it's not too serious but we shall see :/
