Have obtained tool to remove clutch pulley, and after looking at it would it not be possible to do the following?

Loosen splined bolt with belt still attached using tension on belt to stop it rotating.

Release tension on belt with 19mm spanner, lift it off the alternator pulley, and then completely remove the clutch, it looks as if there is enough space for it to come out between the blades of the fan.

Do the reverse to refit.

This all looks a bit too simple as the Haynes says to remove the front end, viscous fan and alternator, am I missing something?

Thanks chaps!
