Hi,

Brand new member looking for help advice on the above vehicle. Having test driven it I'm Looking to buy it over the next few days. When checking that all the electrics were working I couldn't get my IPhone 4S to pair with the Bluetooth. When going in to the Bluetooth settings it doesn't give the option to find new phone. It has the MMI with sat nav although to what spec I don't know. Also, in the arm rest there looks like part of a cradle for a phone. Can anyone help with advice on the Bluetooth and the cradle in the arm rest? Also, how easy is it to fit/upgrade the stereo to accept iPod either by plugging in or by Bluetooth?

To pair a phone and to make sure Bt is fitted, press TEL then SETUP and you'll see an option for searching.

If the central screen is colour, you will have DVD nav (MMI High) but if its Red you will have MMI Basic+ but I think you have High.

Hi mate,

yes I did, found the answer on the forum after some digging. Basically if you sit in the drivers seat all you have to do is hold the phone very close to the centre console beside your left knee. Go through the bluetooth settings on your phone to find new devices and it should come up with the audi unit. Insert the PIN number from the mmi display and it should connect. Apparently the phone needs to be right beside the unit the first time it's paired! It's working perfectly for me!!

Doesnt need to be anywhere near the centre console as the bt module is below the passenger seat lol

Yep, I had read that Chris. Don't know if its just cause I was holding it lower down then but phone wouldn't find the unit until I done it!

I found with most bluetooth systems is it seems to work better when you search for devices from the phone rather than asking the car to do it.

The iPhone doesn't like it done that way - well mine anyway.

Is best searching from the car IMO.
