    Audi A3 '56 2.0 TDI 170bhp
Had this car for couple of years with no problems. Last 3 months the car has decided to have an increasingly more jerky acceleration.
The engine itself makes no more or different noise to normal, and has been serviced to the handbook.
Revving is smooth, slow acceleration is smooth but anything more aggressive has an acceleration that has a pauses as it revs threw. It is most noticeable between 2500 and 5000 revs and cold. When up to temperature 90degrees still jerks but not quite noticeable.

Has anyone got any pointers ?

Have you had your injectors checked if they are part of the recall?

We have had only 2 since owning car
Not long after recall we had DPF warning and was told this was because the cars journeys are usually less than 10 miles. Used a DPF fuel additive and did the longer run at constant 60 and all well, no returning light
Last month we had eps/abs which were told related to worn rear pads which were replaced during service couple weeks ago but the Missus has just told me this has flickered on a couple of times since but not stayed on.

Just a thought, but when you are accelerating hard, do you get the Traction lamp flashing? I was thinking it could be related to wheel-spin and the ecu is backing the throttle off.

Does it feel like the feeling you get when you let the clutch up too quickly or is it more like a judder?

    Hi Mikey
Neither really, it's hard to describe but it is like the car is pulling normally as it revs through but then a pause before it goes again. It can occasionally pause for a more noticeable length of time but always goes again.
It vertainly isn't shaking or juddering the car.

1st of all, I dont recall rear pads having any wear sensors so doubt its this for esp light up, 2nd when were injectors swapped out as there have been major issues with the new injectors for loads of people, has it been since these were changed & 3rd fuel filter been changed yet?

Crasher is a good guy to go see, but not sure how close he is to you.
