You're about right there chipster. I do wish I had the sharkfin aerial, but apart from that, the only real differences I've seen are the ride height & wider wheels which make the car look wider somehow, like it has more flared arches (though I know it doesn't).

I'm undecided on a few mods, blacking out the original chrome window surrounds, diy drl's in the front grille & chrome door mirrors. All mods which I can appreciate but not sure they're for me. The mod in Chris' s photo though - I can't see how anyone would thinkbitblooks good.

Tell you what would give the appearance of the car looking wider, Wheel spacers.. |They bring the wheels much closer to the edge of the car, It was a must on my old TT Roadster.. And i'll probably do it on the Avant, when i find out just how much i can do without any problems

I like the chrome strip on the back, wished mine had one, i also wished mine had the chrome roof rails as black on black seems a tad boring.. Chrome wing mirrors tho.. Maybe not Although it probably would look good on my black car

Neilos100 really knows his stuff on the A6 wheel possibilities, hopefully he can give youban idea on spacers. If I haven't offended him too much lol. That flared look is what I'm after, so I'll consider the spacers if I ever manage to get some new alloys.

I agree 100% on the chrome strip on the back between the lights, it's one of my favourite features on the A6 saloon, just can't quite get my head round why people black that out - each to their own. I would be slightly gutted if I'd paid extra for a Black Edition & now it seems every Audi you see is plastilubed & carbon wrapped to create an aftermarket Black Edition. Makes it less of a limited edition.

Hehe....no offence taken whatsoever Paul! I like 'em and thats all that really matters....i agree the A6 above has way too much chrome....those light surrounds just dont work to my eyes. I'm not a big fan of chrome but for me the mirror caps work well, contrasting against the black and I think it gives the car a more 'sporty' look. I'm not trying to make it look like anything it isnt, just putting my mark on it is all.
As to the wheels, I'm not so sure spacers will look right...get it wrong and it looks awful. Again I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder........however how anyone could find this beautiful is beyond even me! 6fb6fafaba887ee7972547e880553d30.jpg

Yikes!!! That is definitely the worst modified car I've ever seen Neil.

Akash, I'd love to know what the driver of the chrome wrapped car looked like. Maybe a fake tanned bloke in his 40's, wearing gold chains, Aviators/Ray Bans and hair gel. The sad thing is I like it, I wouldn't own it, but I can't help liking it for some reason.

Liked the fake tan/hair gel/bling/sunglasses comment...would be me but not enough hair to gel and dislike jewellry

I also can only aspire to one day require Just For Men. The only thing I can use until that miracle cure comes along is spray on hair . There's a picture of an S5 with a full chrome wrap somewhere on the forum, I'll do a search later.
