Hi, I have recently bought a 2002 A6 3.0 Quattro. To say I'm happy with it would be an understatement.

I am wanting to give it a good service as it had been stood for a while when I bought it.

I have been looking on Ebay for service parts e.g. discs, pads, oil, filters etc.

The problem is that the 3.0 does not seem to come up very often. Is it not a very popular version?

I was thinking that maybe a good deal of the spares will be common accross the range. Say the 2.4, 2.8. 2.5tdi

I need some advice on this matter. This is my first ever Audi and do not know them wel, however, I am competent DIY mechanic and can do most jobs.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

    welcome to the forum.
    nice car.
ebay can be good for bits, but why not use this as an opportunity to use your local factors. you can usually walk in, give them your reg and get the right parts. then , if they are wrong its easier to change them. you could also try your loacl euro car parts or gsf.

I always use euro and go for the better quality items they sell. More often than not it is OE stuff of the same quality. and far cheaper than the dealer prices.
