    Hi

I need to replace engine mount on right side looking at the engine. I am struggling to get a spare part from usual suppliers (GSF, Europarts) and Audi is to expensive. They do have sensor in but looks same as B5. There is no leak from it but engine shakes and using revers make is clang noise while engine moves. I think it is the passenger side.

    VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1

Control Module Part Number: 038 906 019 JQ
    Component and/or Version: 1,9l R4 EDC 0000SG 1570
    Software Coding: 00002
    Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
    VCID: 6F9150BF3E93
    Additional Info: WAUZZZ8E24A005280 AUZ6Z0C0082582
    1 Fault Found:
17994 - Engine Mount Solenoid Valves (N144/N145): Short to Plus
    P1586 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

    1. Does anybody know any other cheap place to get them and are both sides the same?
    2. Is B5 part non-sensor OK as replacement? I know it will give error code on scan but it does not pop anything on dash.
    3. I was also advised to change them with rubber mount. Has anybody done that

    Thanks

On the other side, my alternator pulley is playing up on idle. Hope to get that cheap somewhere.

That fault code is very common most times the driver is unaware its up! yours must be seriously worn to make so much racket,I would go the breakers and get one side, you'll be able to see if they're handed then, fit that and see if there's an improvement, two new ones will seriously ruin your christmas.
    A4 B6,A4B7Quattro,MK4 Golf,MK5Golf gone and well forgotten,MK6Golf.

Your are correct about new one....I've got one of B5. Tempted to try it. It is rubber with no hydraulics. I know the code will be always there but at least it will not break the engine.

Sorry for bringing this up again. I wonder if anybody can help with this. Struggling to source engine mount with exact code rather then from Audi. Since the rubber from B5 looks the same I wonder if you could just swap in.

    Any help appreciated.

I've replaced it today with B5 second hand mount. Beside the error code when you read it it feels a lot better. I was a bit surprise with front mount being just non-solid with a play in it. It just does not look normal to have a mount on the front where radiator is which is not in physical contact with engine. when engine moves it hits it with rubber. Think that rubber may go soft after a time.

It's a torque stop at the front not really an engine mount at all

Thanks. It just look odd. First I was under impression it is a mount that is broken.

Anyway, B6 hydro engine mount can be replaced with rubber one from B5.

Dont know how you open it. I've got a small leak from intake air pipe which was dripping on it. Hence it looked oily. How would you check for it? Also, the sensor on site - can it be removed?
