    Could anyone tell me what the differance between the cvt and the sequentronic gearbox is, or are they the same.

    sequentronic .. never heard of that before

    cvt/multitronic are the same - its a continuous gear .. not very good gearbox imo

    s-tronic/dsg uses two clutches which has the next gear preselected so the gearchange is instant - a highly rated box

    tiptronic - your normal automatic

    Many thanks,Lincoln audi are selling nearly new A4's with sequentronic gearboxs,ive owned 3 dsg this is my fist cvt but like you ive never heard of the sequentronic.

    I done a search of sequentronic and it seems its a Mercedes 'box from the early 2000's.

    If they're FWD they will be CVT.

    I think they are fwd, i'll have to check,if they are quattro it would say even so, it would't say sequentronic would it?
