Help, i have noticed that my 1993 Audi 80 1.9 TDi started juddering at low rpm's, then cutting out for a spit second under load, I then noticed that the pipe from the fuel filter (arrow pointing toward engine) to the fuel pump had bubbles in it.

Is this the cause, if so, how the hell are they getting in there??

I wondered whether the fuel filter seal is leaking, but no sign anywhere of diesel leaking.

I have only just bought the car and it has been sat for a while.

    Any help would be great

    Peter

Hi and thanks for your help, but how will a one way valve stop air bubbles getting to the pump??

the bubble are moving from filter toward the pump, no bubbles in the return pipe

sry, taught the air bubbles where coming from pump. check the bleed bolt on top of the filter is tight and also the filter is a tight fit.
