Audi A3 start stop issue

HI all
New to this. So sorry if this been asked before. Situation is, that I have the new audi a3. On very few rare occasions I am thinking about (4) i guess since I have had this car, since September 2012, my car has kinda stalled, and from what I remember is that I got a message on my display saying (start/stop failed please restart engine) something like that. This happened on public roads, but I am trying to figure out the driving situation i was in, when it happened and I cannot honestly remember. I mean Start Stop works great etc. However when this issue occurred, I don't know if I just turned the key back and forward to start it again, or if It just started on its own, by pressing the clutch. Just trying to establish the situations that this can happen, and if this is normal, or if its not normal, how to avoid this?

Take it back to audi, its under warranty, doesnt get much easier than that mate.
