rear camera/dvd/tuner

Whats needed/involved to retro fit these upgrades to my high mmi 2g with dvd nav and Bose surround.
1 rear camera
2 dvd player on the mmi screen
3 maybe digital tv tuner

I`ve found a dealer calling themselves Tha Vag Shop who can do the whole lot. Was wondering if its something I could tackle myself and save some pennies

i think all you need is a AV multimedia interface like this but just search for 1 that is compatible with your head unit Klaida :: Error

What did you finally decide to go for?
I am in the same situation and trying to decide the best way to sort. Although, the xcarlink does seem to do exactly what I want, I am not up to doing the installation and the installers I have contacted all seem to suggest Dension gateway 500. By the time video, TV and camera is added this pushes up the price a lot.

I've not got round to doing this yet but am still gona be doing it, I have decided the xcarlink is the way I'll be going but I'm going to do it all myself. I'm not going for the tv but will be doing dvd headrest instead.

I am veering towards the xcarlilnk myself. Do you plan to add another DVD player or use the existing sat nav DVD unit? I have read that the video in motion setting in the MMI needs VCDS for activation.

yes I'm going to add a 6 disc DVD changer, I have spoken direct with xcarlink to confirm that I'll still be able to use the mmi scren while the passengers in the back view a DVD also.
as to tv in motion I don't think its required as the xcarlink is fitted between the mmi and the screen so eliminating recoding
