    Hi All.
Today, my car's workshop light came on.
Had her plugged in and it came back as a faulty 02 sensor.
I'm not sure if my car has one sensor or two ?
    Any help appreciated.

    2001 1.6s 16v AZD

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Marko.

post the full fault code here... and text... (it sure does not say 'faulty o2 sensor'!!)

this will tell you which one it is...

not necessarily lambda sensor, could be other things but that's speculation

    Hi
Dont have the fault code though it said something along the lines of 02 sensor short something. I didnt scan myself, it was a mechanic using a sealey VAG diagnostic device on a OBD 2 lead.
Sorri this is a bit vague !

check fault code again to tell you which bank it is...
then grab multimeter and check wiring, might be short against chassis (insulation rubbed through).

That makes sense, regarding the short.
Will have a wee look tomoorow.
The code was erased, hopefully it wont give me much trouble.

    Thanks.
