Hi all, I have recently discovered my drivers side floor of my bora is wet, I think it is rain getting in as when it is dry the floor starts to dry up. After a heavy rain shower today I noticed water drops coming from above the accelerator pedal, this is very annoying as the car windows get very steamy. I lifted the carpet slightly and can feel the water below, it is wetter towards the pedals.

I have no sun roof and I have checked the door linings.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

just had exactly the same problem with water up to 2" deep in the driver side passenger footwell and driver footwell(depending on which way up or down hill i parked). there are several tips on here in relation to rubbish (leaves, gunge etc) building up under the scuttle plate (think its official title is Plenum chamber). if you look under the bonnet and follow the bonnect release cable to where it disappears into the car at the windscreen point you can see, via a torch the buildup of these leaves, gunge etc. i had a puddle of water jholding in here. bit of a fiddly job (you can remove the tray there are several instructions on here how to do this) however i have access to an airgun and basically blasted all the rubbish out then thoroughly washed with hot soapy water to make sure all clean. you can tell if the drain hole is clear as water should escape below the front wheel behind the guard.
    hope this helps
