Part Number / Compatability Help Please :)

Hi folks, basically I need a new heater control switch for my 1999 ( up to 1999 ) Seat Cordoba Vario ( Polo estate ) and can't find any Seat ones on ebay but there is loads of Polo ones which "look" exactly the same. As yous know, TPS will not give out part numbers so I am stuck there. My car has recirculation function and aircon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
The polo ones should be the same especially if from Polo estate or saloon or Caddy van. The Polo Estate and saloon where both based on the Cordoba and the Caddy on the Inca van even though they were all originally Polo based. i.e. You can put Caddy / Polo saloon, estate front wings on Cordoba/ Inca / Ibiza but not on the Polo hatch. I have a Caddy van and if you pull back pieces of trim you'll find stickers with the SEAT logo and made in Spain on them...

I pulled it out and got the part number 6k0 820 045 A from it.
Phoned TPS and quoted that number but they said ( as you did ) that was off an Inca and not an Ibiza/Cordoba ( which it obviously is lol )
I have trawled through ebay and have found soo many that look the exact same from Polo and Inca but the part numbers are different. I wonder what the difference really is though.
