    Used VAG-COM and one error was flagged :-

    16786 - EGR System: Excessive Flow
    P0402 - 35-00 - -

    What does this fault code mean ???

    Your EGR sensor is saying that too much is flowing through it. I don't know why it would flow too much though. It may need re-setting with vag-com, or maybe turned down a bit (there's methods for turning down EGR all round the web - google for it )

    My EGR fault is currently reading "too low" as I've got rid of it altogether. I dislike anything that takes my dirty exhaust gases and tries to burn them over again! yuck!
