The most Lemon Audi A6 Avant strikes again

The drain pipes are run down the A pillars normally, if there is a problem with these you can guess where the water ends up. Might also be a sealing problem with sunroof gutter, but this would probably end up with water in the head lining.

All of headling look dry... A, B pillar, etc... just gonna empty water... strip both sides bare again... will do photos tomorrow so people can suggest stuff....
I really wanna do so many unspeakable things to this car!

Each time I've removed interior I've been so careful... I feel setting fire to the carpet... replacing the seats... putting some mats down and driving around like a hill billy!

I have really lost count how many times I have checked things on this car!

I'm in such a bad place .... spent so much on a 2005 plate car! my wife just said if we sell this car you won't ever forget it!

I said yeah even therapy, mind bendy drugs or hypnosis won't erase the pain, time and money it has sapped out of me

Where has this water come from? If the plenum chamber is dry.

Yep look very dry will do photos later... drivers side is dry... will removed front seat and strip further on that side...

So fellow members... just as I thought thinks were getting better...... the most lemon Audi A6 in forum history strikes again!

I went to Audi today to pickup the rest of the parts to do the injector swap... I heard water gushing forward and back in car as I stopped and moved off at junctions...

It had been doing this for a few days... but it has been raining for days...

I had heard this sound before in my ownership.... I thought it can't be like the last 2 -3 times that there is water under the carpet again!!!

But this is Zesty the A6... the most lemon of A6's... it is possible!

So now after all I have been through with this car in the past year or so I must start stripping the interior again...

I can not ever I think recommend one again even thou I did today... I have tried so much with this car... I have blown £5K+...

Demorialised... saddened... angered... ashamed... I must have been so disillusional to buy/keep trying with this car...

LEAVE THE CARPETS UP . dry everything out with a heater . Wait for a dry day and then go for a drive and observe. Wait for a rainy day (wont have to wait so long these days ) and drive around .
You MUST see where the water is getting in then .

FFS, feeling so deflated and we've never met! Seem to think leaving the carpet out for a while as suggested could be the best way forward.

This time next year- you will be laughing about it- guaranteed.
Quick fix though is to put a 'scorrock' in it .

Besides the sposhing of water... when I lifted the rubber mats they had the tell tale condensation... when I place my foot in rear footwell.. it squelched... note the damp water spot... usually as child car seat that side no one put their feet there...



This was the only water in sunroof tiny spot on drivers side front my guess from when open roof now...



Front corner drivers side... ie towards windscreen... dry as bone...



Front main channel parallel to windscreen... dry as bone...



Passenger side front corner... dry as a bone...



Drivers side... take shot from front to back... again dry as bone...



Passengers side... take shot from front to back... again dry as bone...

All dry as a bone to touch and sight ... other than under carpet passenger side...

I think i'd still want to test the sunroof drain hoses are clear by running some water into them and watching it exit to the exterior. You could also play a hose onto the windscreen bonding while checking inside under dash on passenger side.
