Couldnt see any relevent A3 posts on this. I have a 2006 Sportback and fancy being able to open my windows to let smoke out when its raining. Currently it poors in and soaks the door card... Anyone have any on and can confirm that the wind deflectors allow the window to be open whilst raining? Any thoughts welcome

I haven't got an A3 (I'm too well endowed to own one apparently ) but I've got deflectors fitted and the general design purpose of them is for the very purpose you've described.

That said, you can only open the windows as far as the deflectors, any further and the rain will pour in just the same - obviously.

And yes, they're the best £50 I ever spent.

Cheers for that, any recommendations to which ones to look at? Seen some Heko and climair ones but have also seen reports that they are a little noisy on the motorway? I would rather not smoke in it than to increase any noise in the car When you change tyres and you get a little road noise that takes a bit to get used to is that what were talking about or some humming/buzzing/vibration coming from them?

I had the same problem and installed wind deflectors in my 2009 A3. Unfortunately it does increase road noise and especially on the motorway. Now I have given up smoking I have removed then and all is hushed in the cabin once more.

Not sure if it's the car design or the deflectors used, but mine haven't increased road noise one bit, in fact with my window open and the deflector attached, it's far quieter and a the belting my ear used to get from the air rushing in, no longer exists.

Climair for me, as it's the ones Ford use themselves - fitment was a doddle and I've not looked back.

    They're marmite I suppose - I love them.
