Yeah, I know that's also a damper but the part alone costs £250 so nothing like this mysterious $120 to fix the issue on overrun. I had to replace mine when the aux belt snapped and the whole job was £500. (Other than a service, I've yet to have any work done that doesn't cost at least £500! A single rear damper was £720 fitted, and none of this is at a dealership.)

For $120 it must be something to do with the fuel line and I can't see how that will sort the revs on overrun. To my mind its got to be something to do with the gearbox software...

Yes i certainly remember. I've been driving mine as it is. Still waiting for the first snow to fall on the mountains to get my GPs changed. When that gets done i'll probably book it in for gearbox oil change etc...
I am following the threads as much as possible. Sad i can't contribute much. Long hours at work.... :-(

I've given the GPs to the dealership to change. They also changed the pulsation damper including some hoses and thingys. I also had a coolant flush. All in all, car feels more responsive. Revs fluctuation is still there tho, including the fluctuation while decelerating.
Going to get the tranny flushed and oil change to see if that helps with the revs while driving. Doing many k's since my last post. No problems other than those unexplained rev issues. Brake light has come on and i can't find genuine brakes+pads (front) anywhere. Only $tealerships have them. 1 grand to get em changed tho.

Can you confirm that the "pulsation damper" is the seal I changed on mine? (Link in post 44) Thanks ...

You're kidding right! I've done the rears myself and it was a doddle. Genuine parts from the dealer were the same price as aftermarket (about £100 for brakes and discs - though I think that was with 15% discount as part of the Colbornes club for owners with cars over 3 yrs old). Fronts will be more but not 10 times. I wouldn't worry about getting genuine parts. Decent brand alternatives will be fine and its not a difficult job if you have the tools. I have another set of pads in the garage ready and they cost £35 from the local autofactors and include all the necessary replacement bolts and clips.

^^^Mat a grand in Aussie money...that's circa £650 in GBP.

Even so that's double what we pay as had mine done all around and it was £320 supply and fit, but methinks servicing attracts that premium down under

Would imagine that a UK Audi main dealer would charge similar to Wizards Oz price though for supply and fit?
