Map Updates

So I have confirmed that the Google Maps option does not download roads that are not already on the base map on the hard drive. All the Google option does is layer the Google Earth images over the top.

So even though Google Maps clearly has road such as the new A421 past Bedford etc, my car still thinks it is going cross country.

So what is the map upgrade option here?

I am sure my dealer will relieve me of large amounts of money to update but can I (legally) buy update disks etc from anywhere else?

When I drove down the E4 Rheims Bypass in France last April/May it was not in the Audi map.

The E4 is the busiest road in Europe and that part of it had been built 4 years at the time. Audi didn't give a stuff.

If Audi can't be аrsed to update the busiest road in Europe in 4 years, I wouldn't get too excited about the A421 past Bedford.
