    Hi Guys I Have A Passat 1.8 Turbo 1997 Model Problem With My Car Been Chipped Its Working Couple Of Months Then Suddenly Was Gone Its Not Kicking When Pedal Is Down.it Happen When I Install The K& N Filter Induction Kit Im Guessing Maybe The Maf Sensor Was Damaged Or Fail I Dont Know If The Chipped Is Affected When The Maf Is Not Working..is This Possible ? Please Help

    Maf is probably dead because of over oiled k+n filter,you can try dis connecting the maf and if it runs better, then you have your answer, Calum.

    It most probably the oil damaging the MAF. It a common issue with after market filters expecially oil ones. you may get away with carb cleaner or it may end up with a new one.

    Hi

    We had allot of probs with K&N filters on Land Rovers. They would let larger particals of dust/insects in & crud up the MAF sensor.

    Thanks For The Reply Guys I Just Cleaned The Maf And Its Back On Its Track The Car Runs Normally Now. I Also Found Theres Noise On The Car Ithink Its The Turbo Propeller When Im About To Change Gears Coz Of To Much Air That Been Suck By The Turbo And Doing A Backdraft THAT Shattered The Propeller Is This The Right Noise I Heard?
