    Hi,

I've bought some 3mm inside diameter vacuum hose but the inside looks tiny compared to the smallest of the original rubber tubing already on the car. Have I got the right size? Just a bit concerned in case it's too small and will restrict how fast valves can be pulled open. What I'm considering to be the smallest tubes are ones that go to the anti-shudder valve, turbo VVT solenoid, etc.

Also, what other size or sizes might I need before undertaking the job of replacing it all?

Lengths needed of each roughly? Thanks.

I think the vacuum hose is 3mil bore. you buy it by the yard/meter i suppose 3 or 4 would do it

The stuff I've got did go on a connector with a bit of effort when I did a quick check earlier but visually the internal bore of the pipe is definitely smaller than the original stuff.

Is the larger pipe 5mm inside diameter?

the old hose would have taken the diameter of the fitting through heat and age but the small diameter pipe is definitely 3 mm and the larger pipe is 5 mm . think of them kids with huge holes in their ears they have to stretch their piercing to get the big ear decorations in but the ears won't shrink to fit a regular earring in
