    Hello people

    Replaced the offside calliper on my 1.9 tdi today . Went to bleed said calliper and there is no pressure . Checked other side Ann there is no pressure there either .
    Anyone any ideas ???

    think you need to pull handbrake on and off while pumping brake pedal did you leave the other caliper alone or did you wind that one in to its start position if not you may get problems as one piston is way out and the other is piston in . need to ensure both pistons are wound into caliper . that's what i think but others may say differently . good luck

    Wound it back aswell was only replacing said calliper because I was changing pads and couldn't get offside one back in properly . Also tried pressure bleeding it to no avail there is a bit of fluid coming through this way but no nearly what there should be ....

    keep going at it . they seem to take forever to bleed up it took me a good half hour or so to bleed mine up when i done the front pads and loads of fluid handy to keep reservior topped up

    Brakes blead - now they lack bite..... this may help you out a bit

    Having a pressure bleeder on it at about 30lbs of pressure should make it easy ! I've changed master cylinders recently on both clutch and brakes and never had a issue bleeding them

    So today I have loosend slightly the 2 feed pipes that go from master cylinder to abs unit to see if there is pressure there and all seem well . Do the abs units go on these things ? I have no lights apart from break pad warning light on . And the last person that done pads just cut wire and joined them together so I'm guessing its just shorting .
    Anyway one any experience of these things going dodgy ?

    Also checked pipes coming from unit to callipers at abs unit . There seems to be pressure on one pipe them it is almost non existent on the other 3 .

    Have you tried bleeding with the engine running?
