    Hi Folks,

Am losing coolant and this might be the Oil Cooler?
Garage have informed me it is leaking so seeing as not losing oil can only assume its leaking coolant

In need of an oil change anyway so ideal time to do it. Also going to change spark plugs and air filter

Looking around it appears there are several sized oil filters.......

So before I start thought would ask the members on here what are the numbers of service items so ensure get correct ones

Mister Auto currently have a 35% discount code so intent to order directly from them...unless members know somewhere better?

    Its a 53 plate B6 1.8T

    Thanks folks

if its your oil cooler leaking then the water will be going into the oil and that will turn a milky colour, so if its still like normal oil then its not the cooler leaking.

    No sign of milky oil.........

It is way overdue an oil change as the oil is very thin but still black so no water in it.....

It is using about 1ltr of WATER every 400 miles.........small patches on drive.....

I would imagine some would consider it a DIY job, but from memory the parts only cost approx £30, so labour was the killer! I wouldn't want to advise where the housing is as I generally don't do stuff to my car unless I know what I'm doing. Too many times I've got half way through an attempted DIY task and realised I haven't got the right tools/parts, and then also have no car to go and buy them :/
