The AC on my Jetta stopped cooling after being parked. The system was working correctly, I parked vechicle for 5 min. When started again the AC does not cool. Fan works fine, I checked fuse, seems to be OK. Is there a relay or anoter fuse that could keep the compressor from cooling?

    Hello There

What age is your Jetta/one minute it worked and then not? A quick pressure check will tell whats happening because if pressure is lowish compressor willl not cut in via pressure switch

    Good Luck

IIRC the electro-magnetic compressor clutches can give some trouble, maybe worth checking if it is kicking in properly. If it's not, then check that power is getting as far as the clutch pack and make your decisions from there.

Thanks Pete, that is something else to check. I think it is an electrical problem so it may take a while.
