Hi all, new to this so appologies if this is in the wrong section.

Just recently, Friday, I bought a 2006 Audi 2.0T quattro S line SE, 120k on the clock, full service history, last two specialist. Drove her home from Leicester - Liverpool, on the boat and back to Belfast, ran about in it all weekend and to work on Monday. No problems..... until the trip home from work Emission Control System light came on, car still drives fine, no loss in performance.

Today a guy from work brought in his diagnostics reader, plugged it it and got the following codes

    01287
    P2187
    P2261
    P310B
    P1250

Anyone any ideas, booked into a VW / Audi Specialist on Friday, just looking some background info from the people in the know here.

Thanks for all the help / advice in advance

P1250 is relating to an empty fuel tank!

If you ever need a scan I'm in Belfast most days and I have genuine vcds.

Chris, thanks very much, I knew I was at the right place..... whats the cost for a scan mate, I might just give that go?

In your opinion are these codes serious?

Am I Ok to continue driving the car until I get it looked at?

    thanks again

I'm off until Monday so won't be in Belfast until then so wait until you see your specialist? Who you seeing by the way?

I'm not 100% sure on the codes but I'm guessing *possible* turbo problem but take that with a pinch of salt as I'm far off being a mechanic!

They could well be old codes that haven't been cleared but VCDS will show when they occurred.

Nothing for a scan - just like helping people out

Brilliant mate, your a gentleman, going to Sandown Motors, based in Stock Brothers, Sandown Road, just off the Upper Newtownards Road.

Have you heard of him just out of interest?

Not heard of them myself but I have heard good reviews and pleased customers who have used Walsh Motors - WALSH MOTORS - Home

Colleagues of mine have used Eugene and can't fault him and he's very reasonable on price.

    They're also a forum sponsor.

Yeah heard of him, Sandown is just round the corner from me so I'll give him a go first. See what he says about the codes and take it from there, would just like to find someone handy that I can leave the car into.
