    Dear All,

This is what £110 worth of light bulbs look like:

These are to replace the dipped, main and front fog bulbs and the rear brake/side bulbs on my 2006 A6 Avant.

I have standard halogen bulbs so I'm hoping for quite an improvement on the front lights.
They threw the pack of sidelight bulbs in FOC so got them all for under £100 delivered from Car Bulbs, Headlights, Xenon Bulbs | Philips & Osram | PowerBulbs

I will do some before and after pictures of the front and rear when I get a chance to fit them!
2006 (C6) A6 Avant SE. 3.0 TDI V6. Quattro. 6 Speed Manual. Adaptive Air Suspension.

Ah see you have the avant, different bulbs from the saloon?

Sometimes these bulb finder 'wizards' are confusing!....I bought H11's and the garage told me they wouldn't fit front fogs and I needed H7

Car Bulbs, Headlight Bulbs, Wiper blades, headlamp bulbs, Xenon Bulbs: Autobulbs Direct Ltd

Should make a good difference though, mine have a yellowish tinge to them and would like to get them replaced if only for cosmetic reasons.

Don't buy from there - Power Bulbs were significantly cheaper:

I'd be interested to see how you get on with the Crees.

The bulbs you call high beam are actually DRLs if you have xenons. I tried some canbus error free P21W replacements and LED sidelights but both gave me problems so I changed back to standard bulbs. They weren't Crees.

Regarding the Cree bulbs they are supposed to have a greater lumen output than standard bulbs, however as they are forward facing and don't use the reflector am imagining they'll be about the same brightness output...albeit whiter.

In truth not overly enamoured with having to fit resistors even if they are purely snap-on type as is just another potential weakness area....so may go for a standard type bulb that gives a blueish/white light instead and doesn't require a resistor.
