They were very expensive compared to Power Bulbs - the H7's and H1's are £39.99 comapred to £29.99 on Power Bulbs.

Yep, so I see. Another added to my "favourites" under "car stuff" . I don't remember what I paid as it was a year or so ago. My work computer has it's server in Belgium, so I see the Powerbulb prices in Euro. Do you? (Just wondering if they're another company shipping from the Channel Islands to avoid VAT)

I had the same problem as I bought H11 and needed H7 for the front drl/fog lights.

But not in any real rush. front lights are really easy to fit. Just pop the plastic panels, unclick the power and a few things done.

It can be completed in less than 2 minutes

    Well.

I don't know what to say. Changing light bulbs should not be this difficult or time consuming!

I've managed to do offside dipped and main bulbs, but it took me the best part of 2 hours. I'm seriously not looking forward to the super tight working space of the nearside.

    Dipped before:

    Dipped after:

    Main before:

    Main after:

Obviously this is only 50% complete. I'll tackle the nearside when I have more light and time to play with.

At the moment I don't honestly know if its worth the hassle or expense - the difference is marginal so far. Hopefully it'll be more obvious with the nearside done.

Getting the air box out wasn't too bad - its having to do everything 'blind' once you have access - and the main beam bulb is so far forward it's really tricky.

Also someone has obviously been in there and done it before as the plastic tabs on the bottom of the headlight cover plate had been snapped off so will have to order a new one at some point.

Thanks for sharing that with us. I did notice the only real difference with the osram was that the light was a little more cleaner compared to the yellow hue that you get.

I was tempted to go with blue tinted lights, but preferred the oem.

However my next question was about interior lights. Has anyone installed additional lights in their cabin as once the lights are out, you do get the lighting from the equipment, but everything else is pretty dark.

Should I start another thread on this?

The light is a little cleaner than the before shots. For me the biggest diffrrence so far is that you now have a very slighty wider field of vision than before. You can see a little more of the fence to the right in the after shots. Is it £100 worth of bulbs better? I'm not sure, but appreciate you posting this Rosscow & I may be tempted by these better bulbs as & when they need changing anyway.

Until I pop one out I can't check but they may well be H7's!

The lights that are on the bottom of your bumper are H7's. I have asked for a replacement set now and awaiting to hear from amazon seller. Annoying really but on the flip side I have now plastidipped the front plastic bits so they are not grey, but black. Suits my car better.
