I'm not after new headlights, I'm quite happy with the standard ones. I'm currently using xenon bulbs and they are so dull when compared to other cars.

I understand that the headlights make a impact, but are there any bulbs out there which I can use for great visibility and are also legal. I'm currently using 55w blue tinted xenons, which completely suck. My standard bulbs were better.

i am using osram nightbreakers but to be honest i dont think they are a vast improvement over the standard bulbs although they claim 120% brighter or something like that but i have to admit my eyes are not as good as they used to be so it might just be me

I'd recommend getting your headlights aligned - you may see a vast improvement from getting this done.

Would a HID kit be a better option overall?

Also anyone who has dealt with a HID Kit, Will my full beam work off from the same kit, as my hid kit would be attached to dipped lights. And if i were to switch to full would they become brighter? Or do i need 2 kits one for dipped and the other for full?
This is very confusing and people dont give me a straight answer on this topic.

HID wont work in reflector lenses which your golf has - they will work but will blind everybody else and provide a scatter of light.

Far better getting the bulbs mentioned above.

So no form of HID Kits will be quitable for my lights? Or in other terms be legal?

Will the bulbs you told me above actualy be better than this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF MK5 XENON ICE BLUE HEADLIGHT BULBS H7 | eBay
These are dull as anything and not any better than my standard crappy bulbs.

How much of an improvement are we talking about here for the bulbs you recommend me? (Bought Xenon above and they suck xD, they claimed they are 50% brighter)

They will work but because they aren't projection headlights the beam will be messed up and going all shapes on the road.

To be 100% legal with HID you need headline washers and self levellers for the suspension.

With bulbs the big brands are the best so the Philips or Osram is what you need and will definitely see a difference. I also get my headlights aligned at the same time so you're making most of the bulb.

IMO those blue tinted bulbs you posted are pants and don't show much light onto the road.

"IMO those blue tinted bulbs you posted are pants and don't show much light onto the road."

Pants is a good word to describe them and then some. Ill look into those Philips Extremes, They appear to be much better when compared to Osrams.
