I've hopefully just sold my 2008 A6 sline auto and I am looking to buy an A4 cab. went into my local Audi dealer today to just make one final check that I could not get the children in the back of a TT. On speaking with the sales man i asked why they had no 3.2 TT's in stock to which he replied they have a gearbox problem on some that audi will only solve by replacing the gearbox at a cost of £4000. Anyone know if this is the same for all audi 3.2's.

Is the extra power worth the extra RFL?

Any faults to look out for when buying a secondhand one prob be a 2007-2008?

    thanks in advance

I think they're referring to the multitronic gearbox in the FWD models - if you get a quattro it will Have the tiptronic gearbox fitted which is a far more reliable gearbox.

I'm not sure if the 3.2 was available with a manual gearbox

hi Winston did you get the car? I bought the my 2008 3.2 sline same time last year and have had no probs so far apart from garage telling me there has been a warning "notice" on the soft top. They couldn't tell me what that meant but other than that, its a great car.

If comparing details on 3.2 litre models, be aware that A3,TT and Golf 3.2 are the vr6, whereas the A4/A6 etc are 3.2 v6.The vr6 is totally different engine to a v6.
