    Hi,
After reading all the symptoms relating to the DMFW & Clutch, and on the advice of a local garage, we were convinced that the problem was the DMFW. So i paid for a new DMFW & clutch to be fitted, only to discover that the problem is still there!
When i contacted the garage he now says it may the drive shaft or the gearbox.
Before i go down another expensive route, can someone please advise what else the symptoms of a Flywheel juddering may be? It usually happens in 2nd or 3rd gear when gently driving out of a roundabout for instance. Accelerating removes the juddering from that area.
Any advice would be most welcome.
    Its done 70k and is a 2.0TDI
    many thanks

My A6 Allroad 2.7 TDi quattro has what are very similar issues to yours. I haven't gone down the road of changing the DMFW but mine is automatic gearbox so I am not sure if such a DMFW exists in mine.
I have been advised that it could be a flywheel problem.

First gear in mine the pull seems fine but when the engine is cold there is a snick noise when the first gear change happens. This doesn't always happen.

The other symptoms in mine are that the grating/slippage noise is noticeable in 2nd/3rd/4th/5th. If I accelerate the car the noise goes away and the pull seems normal. This grating/slippage noise is intermittent.
