    Hi guys,
Just wandering how many of you and how often do you drive in Sport mode?
Thing is that after having car for 2+ years now I have discovered that magic gearstick position.
I kind of knew about it existence before but somehow didn't get around to try it.
But last night new chapter in my "Audi book" has been started. It's called "Sport mode"
Was coming back from shopping on my own,no missus or little one in the car ,open quite road, national speed limit so I decided to play about with gearbox.
Change it to sport mode and found myself in someone else car

Response from car was so brilliant, driving so involving that I went past my house and went back on same road to give it an other run .
Now I thinking I may saved myself £250 on remap, who knows
What is yours experience of "sport mode"?

Anytime I take the A6 to work its in Sport most of the time just to clear the cobwebs

It's an easy way to see your fuel level drop but its fun all the same.

It's an easy way to scare your missus too.

I too ponder this ... a mate who has an A4 3.0 TDi always says to me you will feel difference with remap... it was sitting in his car that made go look for an A6

I too use it in Sport's mode to clear the cobwebs, time to time, but always warm her up before doing this

When I need to exit junctions quickly during busy times I'm always in S, once I'm settled on a motorway its back to D. Traffic lights F1 starts in S are fun, had a couple of 911's race back up to check what I'm driving before overtaking.

    OP don't discount a remap!...

Driving in S all the time would be too much, though the more you get used to it the more you find going back to D is a Dissapointment!

lol, surprised you didn't try it out when u first got the car, I'm usually trying out all the buttons and gadgets too see what they do....and then probably never get round to using most of the stuff again.

If its taken you 2yrs+ to discover the Sport mode - have u discovered the flappy paddles behind the steering wheel - I wonder how many times people actually use them - good for showing off to u're mates - makes it look more of sports performance car than it really is! - If memory serves me right, u can't actually use the flappy paddles in sport mode!?

I worry too much about fuel economy to use sport mode - perhaps should use it now and again as a treat!

I played about with the flappy paddles and loved it, i dont think i need the S mode atm as i think its the fastest car in the world. came out of a junction with a long dual carriage way and floored it, it went to 90 so bloody quickly - i was confused at the rate of pace for the next mile odd

Havent had the car that long but the flappy paddles are great fun, beging to use them more and more in sport on fast take offs, but the S is not fuel friendly and have to watch the mpg for the company fuel card
