    Default MKv Golf 2.0 tdi won't start – 13-08-2007,11:22 AM
    Hi Guys was looking for your advice/info on the following problem. My Mkv Golf 2.0 tdi won't start the engine turns over, so def not flat battery, but won't start then STOP comes up on the dashboard and the oil light comes on red in colour. I have checked oil levels and they seem fine, so what's wrong?

    Please any advice would be much appreciated.

    possible oil level sensor? im not very well clued up on the mkv range but im guessing it should still be in warranty?

    Hello.

    Best bet is to get the car plugged in to diagnotics equipment to read the fault codes. The ECU could be in a safe mode to to a sensor fault. Its not a good idea to keep turning the car over.
