Hi,

It sorta is fixed but at times will return, I believe I have an A6 with either a bad engine from being on long life servicing (previous owner) or top end of engine is coked up and when sensors can't make sense of data it has a fit. To be honest I don't really care anymore and enjoy driving my van more now!

My advise if your V6 is doing same as mine try cheap fixes or set fire to it and get another car but don't do what I did and plough your hard earned cash into it.

Sorry to hear you so dejected Gup. You have achieved so much with your car & at the end of the day, try to enjoy the drives you have in it - I'd kill to have the sort of power you have in that V6!!! You have a fantastic car & despite it's 'quirks', it must still be a great car to open your front door to in the morning & a great car to drive round the country roads.

P.S, I know that's easy for me to say, I've not put the hours & money into it like you have, just to have the same problems come back. But try to remember it's a beauty of a car despite the hunting revs now & 90% of drivers out there would love to have a car like yours. Focus on the positive

My egine is 2.0 TDI BKD and it does the same, idle rpms is fluctuating, so .... I think not the egine is the issue, maybe some sensors.

Hi Brycie mate,

TBH I do enjoy it when I drive it, that's why I never ended up getting shot of it

. It ******* purrs along and eats up plenty of cars when given some beans @ lights or straights. Recently if I was honest I nailed a 3.0 TDi A4 10 plate along a country road I use regularly. It has so much power delivery IMO coupled with fantastic grip you can easily forget it's an estate. Many a time on roundabouts it never ceases to amaze me how much speed it can give in a controlled safe manner. I shall never forgive my mate with an Audi which sent me down this path! LOL! Recently I showed a mate my threads / work done on car he said " and you drive a van!?" I replied "I like seeing my Mrs & kids in it the most."

Razvan87 as your engine is different and my thread is already long enough start your own thread to get help

That's good to hear Gup, glad you've not lost the love for the V6! Every time you give it some welly, just think "Brycie would be well jealous & doesn't know what he's missing with this engine" lol.

Hope the move went well G & the hard work is done.

Must give you a shout sometime soon. Maybe arrange a meet with some of the other guys at some point. I can give you a chance to keep up with me in my remapped motor at the lights - of course we won't be at the same set of lights, I'll be starting at a set of lights a bit further up the road to make it fair lol.

Sorry to hear you're more than a little peeved at the A6 Gup and isn't 110%

Knowing you, knowing the time, money, blood sweat and tears you've put into it, nothing short of perfection is where it should be.

I'm sure probably most "normal" people ( no offence mate....lol ) would be lovin it as is.....
