Well, checked compression all around 12 bar.
Cam sensor - gives square wave

Crank sensor/ engine speed - gives a pulsed signal
    Fuel injectors all pulse fuel.
Fuel pressure - 2.5 bar and holds pressure for a while
Sounds like the timing as if its firing in the exhaust??
VAS and VAG-COM find no fauls
but i have noticed that i couldn't rest service interval on either - had to do it with the Cluster button.
Also it doesn't give any veicle info on that option - is it too limited on the Lupo??
anyway alos noticed that the workshop WSC are different for the Immo and ECU but the other info VIn and ID look the same.
So i'm thinking Coil trigger Amplifier or ECU..
    I'll keep you posted.

Are the valve seats ok? any leaks on manifold? was the head pressure tested? was the correct head gasket used? This is a bit puzzling.

    Hi paulkennedy,
    I have to agree..
I've built lots of engines over the years and this one has me puzzles too, Yes valve seats were tested by putting fuel in the ports and seeing if it leaked through valve head.. the compression levels are all the same(telling me that all valves are as should be) i even did a fuel leak test on the Pistons and nothing got past any. i contacted VW and ask for a ring price before test (£8.xx each set)then asked how many he sold, he checked the history and he has never ordered any.
No leaking head gasket as the water asn't moved, when i removed plugs and they just smelt of fuel.
Can't see a leak for the inlet manifold and new seals fitted and checked
The only thing i did was mixed up plug leads once but that was rectified as being 1=A, 2=C, 3=B, 4=D

I'm leaning on engine management or Coil amp causing misfire..

I'm almost tearing my few remaining hairs out thinking about this thats why I avoid petrol engines. Are all the plug leads and coil packs good? I got this infor from here

    http://the-corrado.net/showthread.ph...misfire/page2&

    they say leads are connected

A is plugged to cylinder 1
    B to Cylinder 3
    C to cylinder 4
    and D is cylinder 2
