I am hoping someone can help me, I have just upgraded the firmware on my RNS 510 to version 3810 and after it had rebooted I have noticed that the skin has been reset to the default Highline one - I had Premium before hand.

I really want to get the Premium skin back but have been told I have lost it due to long coding and the only way to get it back is via VCDS!!!! I have also been advised that even if I upgrade/downgrade the firmware it will remain on the Highline skin.

If the firmware upgrade changed this is there no way software can be used to change it back again as I do not have access to a VCDS????

    Any help appreciated!!!

    Thanks

As I say I cannot take the credit for this as MFGF was kind enough to so this for me as he has the VCDS unit. However you need to go into 'Module 37 - Navigation' and then using the long coding helper go into Byte 7 and there is a drop down box at the bottom for "Bit 4-5 Display Variant" that allows you to change the skin to either 'Highline' (Default), 'Sportsline' or 'Premium'. Once the change has been made and sent back to the unit the VCDS needs to be disconnected and the RNS-510 rebooted by pressing and holding the < and > and I/star buttons until the unit reboots and the skin will have changed.

The VCDS screen shot is below
