    Hi Guys,

I believe my brake light switch is kaput, to replace it, I need to remove the drivers side trim under the wheel. There are two 8mm bolts easily accessible but once they are removed the trim is still held. How do I get this damned thing off without breaking it?

Hi. There are 5 bolts in total:
1)Remove plastic trim at top of steering stalk behind steering wheel - simply lever/pull off.
2)Remove plastic fuse cover driver's side end of dash - hidden when door is closed!
3)Remove bolt (now revealed by removing fuse cover)
    4) Remove two bolts on top (now revealed behind steering wheel.
    5) Remove the two bottom bolts and gently remove and lay on floor the trim.

Be aware, when installing the new brake light switch, you first turn 45 degrees to lock the switch in place - THEN TURN ANOTHER 45 DEGREES to prime the switch. This is different from the old switches which were locked and primed by only 45 degree turn. My manual still states only 45 degrees - but if you do not turn again, the switch won't prime!
