    Hi,
Im doing a retro fit that requires me to solder two wires onto the the rear windscreen for an aerial thats in the screen but does not have the wires pre-wired/soldered on.
My qustion is has anybody done this before with success ? I thought about using conductive glue/epoxy resin but not sure how well it work compared with a soldered joint.
    Any advice would be welcomed.
    Regards.

    yep.
Thank for directing me to the other posts. I wonder how there attached when the screen is manufactured tho, like is it warmed up to a certain temp before soldering to prevent heat shock to the glass ?

I tried the conductive glue I found it quite thin it might work on a falt surface but it sucked rather than stuck on the car i tried it on (octavia)

Well I don't think i'm going to get a defiant answer but I think heating up the screen would reduce the thermal shock of the soldering iron but it is risky and could be costly but i'm surprised that a new rear windscreen is only £220 from Audi main dealer. I did not want to use the conductive glue but £7 v's £220 its a no brainer !!
